The tenth anniversary of the terror attacks on September 11, 2001 is here. Truly, ten years ago today is a day that we all will remember for the rest of our lives. We all probably know exactly where we were, what we were doing, and how we felt when we first found out about this horrific assault on our country.

But your kids might not have; perhaps they were too young, or, in some cases, not even born! The question is: have you talked with your children about the terror attacks on 9/11, or other tragedies?

It is, for many, still difficult to discuss. But it's something that can't be ignored forever; at some point, they will read about it, and you will have to talk to them about what happened.

While it's easier for adults to discuss such things, talking about these types of issues with children can be especially difficult.

Our friends at iVillage are here to help again; they've put together an article outlining ways which can help parents talk with their children about tragedies and disasters the likes of 9/11.

If you're struggling to talk with your children about the importance of this anniversary, don't hesitate to check out iVillage's article. And today, remember that we will never forget the events of this date exactly ten years ago.
