I think that singing to your baby is an excellent way to communicate and have fun with them, while they still learn from it. I am a terrible singer, but my little 11 month old, Bella, doesn't care! When i sing to her she will sway to the singing, and sometimes clap her hands. And she now recognises lullaby's and songs that i regularly sing. Sometimes when she's tired or upset, i sing to her the song 'baby don't you cry' and she will immediately calm down and watch me sing to her.You don't need to have a fantastic singing voice to sing to them, they will love it because it's you.
