My son was 38 weeks two weeks early before his due date. I live 5 minutes from the Hospital and the morning of January 27th my water broke. I called a local cab company but no one picked up the line. The weather outside was a cool brisk and wet so I bundled up grabed my suitcase and headed out the door. I sat in my beetle to warm it up and I drove to the hospital. I called my family and support friend for the birth and they couldn't believe I drove. I was quite impressed I found parking right up front which is rare. My labor was neat and Yes it felt like a Grizzly Bear tearing off my legs ( I did all natural) and at 5:21pm my beautiful son showed up. Most exciting feeling for a proud new single mom.
