My ex and I have been split up since our son was 8 months old, he is now 10. he spent the first 10 years with me and now is spending the next at his fathers. We both see him whenever we want and have in the most part have always been fair. What is a concern for me is that I have noticed that the father is calling our son names. for instance, are you an idiot or something, quit being an asshole, or loser. My son and I talked about this and I know it is hurting him. The father is in every other way a good dad, but this is affecting not only me but the person who matters the most. I want to send him a letter telling him the affects this name calling will have on him but am not good with words and when it comes to talking to him about things I don't approve of it usually becomes an argument....I would really appreciate some advice on really getting the message through to him and making him understand just how bad it is making our son feel
