Mom Encourages and Enters Fight With Teen Girl: Was She Wrong or Right?

Recently, a Long Island woman was arrested and charged with allegedly encouraging two 12-year old girls to fight each other outside of an elemntary school. What's more bizarre than her even encouraging the fight is the fact that she then entered the fray. Huh?
Daphne Melin of Shirley, the woman responsible for starting the bout and then entering it herself, said that her daughter was the victim of cyber-bullying, and that the school was providing no help at all.
So she encouraged her daughter to fight back...and then got involved in the fight.
There seems to be a fine line between encouraging your kid to have a sense of self worth and stand up for themselves and sparking physical violence. Moreover, at least when it comes to fighting, should parents even be involved at all, and, if they're involved, shouldn't they be breaking it up?
Truly, it is a fine line to walk.
