Fab Five Fridays - August 27th

by Kimberly Allers on August 27, 2010

Every week we give you 5 picks of things we loved and learned from on the web. Here are this week’s finds:

  1. We couldn’t help but call our own moms after reading this amazingly reflective and deeply moving post by Emily at The Motherhood about visiting her mom with declining health.

  1. It’s back to school time. And moms need all the help they can get. We loved these 5 tips for making back to school a little easier from the Connect With Your Teens blog.

Is Your Teen Drinking? It’s a parents’ nightmare, but must be addressed. Check out these thoughtful tips and ideas from teen expert Sue Blaney  on Please Stop the Roller Coaster.

  1. As we all try to savor the last bites of summer, we just couldn’t resist  this surprisingly simple Lemon Frozen Yogurt recipe from Shaina at Food for My Family.

So, what’s Your Purse-onality? We loved this interview on Chick Lit is Not Dead, with author Kathryn Eisman, who does “handbag readings”, that is deciphering your personality, based on your handbag. And apparently she does it with frightening accuracy.
